Is the NRCME Test Prep app affiliated with FMCSA or NRCME?
No. NRCME Test Prep is an independent study app from Med Preps LLC. NRCME is a registered trademark of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. This app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FMCSA or NRCME. All practice questions are original content written to the current FMCSA Medical Examiner’s Handbook.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. After your first sign-in the full question bank downloads to the device and every practice mode runs entirely offline. You only need an internet connection to sign in, to sync your progress, and to make a purchase.
What devices does the app support?
iPhone running iOS 14 or later. iPad runs the app in iPhone compatibility mode. An Android version is on the roadmap but not yet released.
How is the app different from the nrcmeprep.com web course?
The app and the web course share the same question bank. Your sign-in and any unlocked access carry across both, but per-question progress (answers, mastery scores, bookmarks) is tracked independently on each surface. The app is built for offline practice with a gamified Game View and uses one-time in-app purchases instead of the web checkout. The web course adds full-length timed mock exams and downloadable study guides.
Do in-app purchases auto-renew?
No. All three tiers are one-time purchases. The 48-hour and 30-day tiers grant timed access; the unlimited tier is permanent. Nothing auto-renews. Each timed purchase adds to any remaining access you already have on the same Apple ID.
Can I get a refund?
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled directly by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com within 90 days of purchase. We honor Apple’s decision on all refund requests.
How is my data handled?
The app collects your email for sign-in and tracks practice progress on our backend so you can study across devices. We do not collect IDFA, do not perform cross-app tracking, and do not use third-party advertising SDKs. Crash and usage analytics are documented in the privacy policy. You can delete your account from inside the app, which permanently removes your data.
